Tip On Page Names
When Creating a Page e.g. [[Andy]] try to stick to just letters and numbers and don't add characters such as & * ' " etc. These tend to confuse and make it difficult to prgramatically change or refer to them. e.g. [[Andy'07]] is bad [[Andy 07]] would be good
Q:How Do I Add my name to KCR Users Page
Please see 'community' in the left hand Side Bar and click on KCR Users. You will note an alphabetised selection please go first to the correct letter for your Forename, then click Edit on the right hand side. You will notice the listings of others with a name commencing with the same letter.
Please make a space in the right alphabetic position and enter YOUR name in my case I enter First The Word User: (don't forget the : then my user name and then | (that is the key near the bottom left of your keyboard and is called Pole) then your proper name starting with your First Name and followed by your surname in capitals thus for me it will be: [[User:Greg L-W.|Greg LANCE - WATKINS]] then click the Save Page button below and your name will show up in the right page as mine now does Greg LANCE - WATKINS.
Please repeat the process to put your Proper name in listed under your Surname also. Thus [[User:Greg L-W.|LANCE - WATKINS Greg]], which will show up as LANCE - WATKINS Greg
Q: How Do I add a Profile Page & adding my own from KCR Users Page
Having listed your name by prename and by surname please enter your personal Profile Page details; on your own page, by clicking on your own name, which will open a new page for you to put YOUR details in.
Have a look at a few other people's entries to decide what sort of 'stuff' you think will help people in yours.
Your Profile Page will open from both your first name entry or your surname, both to create it or to view it and edit it in the future.
Q:How Do I Create an Alias leading to a pre-existing Page?
If you have an already existing Page such as [[Andy]] and you want to referenece that page as [[Andrew]] then this would be the syntax [[Andy|Andrew]]. The first section is the name of the existing page and the 2nd section is the "Alias" or what you want to appear on the Page.
