THIS PRODUCT HAS NEVER BEEN AVAILABLE ON THE BRITISH MARKET.
I have spoken at 14.00hrs. to Mrs. Cathrine Clulow at B. Braun Medical Ltd. in Sheffield, UK, and now await an eMail confirmation which I expect to post here later today.
This does NOT apply in the UK, however if you are at all unsure or are using supplies which may have been sourced outside the UK then it maybe worth checking with your medical support team.
If you are using pre-filled syringes of heparin and saline flush for your
portacath, PICC line, or other port, check to make sure it was NOT manufactured
by B. Braun Medical Inc.
B. Braun has recalled ALL its pre-filled heparin and saline flush syringes. Stop using them immediately. Contact your doctor if you have any problems that might be related to using this product.
