What should we Tell The Children?
Lets start with the Basics:
- Trust your instincts!
- Lack of information can lead to isolation
- Use the word “cancer”
- There is a risk of your children finding out from someone else – which could lead to loss of trust
- We cannot protect children from feeling sad, sharing emotions can bring you closer together
- Being honest does not mean telling everything it means telling the truth!

I don't really 'do' kids - they are a bit beyond me! So I asked some friends and made some friends asking. Michele Pengelly was really helpful and Janet Marti aimed me well.
